As I prepare to run my very first marathon, I’m raising funds to support women's safety. With 1 in 4 women having experienced sexual violence an 1 in 2 rapes against women are carried out by their partner or ex-partner, the work of Refuge is invaluable. Since 1971, Refuge has grown to support almost 7,000 women and children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution and so-called 'honour' based violence.
