Help Glenn Lukin get back on his feet after surgery

HELP GLENN GET BACK ON HIS FEET (LITERALLY)

For 30+ years, my brother Glenn has been the guy lifting everyone else up – whether it’s sharing GoFundMe campaigns for others, donating when his friends need help, running benefit shows, and making karaoke singers sound like the rock stars that they are. Now it’s our turn to return the favor.

This morning (Wednesday, October 8), Glenn had the top half of his big toe amputated due to a severe bone infection that couldn’t be cured.

The recovery is no joke: Glenn can’t put any weight on his left foot for 3-4 weeks, so he will be housebound. At that point, the doctor is unsure at what point after the 3-4 weeks he can carry his heavy equipment to set up and tear down at his shows.

On top of medical expenses, he’ll have the cost of other expensive things, like custom shoes that the doctor said he MUST wear from here on out to prevent future complications arising from the surgery.

If you are able to contribute to this GoFundMe, even a little, it will go a long way toward helping Glenn cover the gap while he heals.

He will get around the house on one leg and a knee scooter, which doesn’t have the option for a tray to carry food or drinks – and the doctor said he can’t stand up and try to balance long enough to cook a nutritious meal. If you happen to like to cook (or order DoorDash) and are so inclined to drop off a meal or snack during the month he is housebound, I am happy to make the arrangements.
