Help Us Lay Mom to Rest

Our names are Obieze and Akuabba Agbo. We are raising funds to honor the memory of our beloved mother to pay for her funeral and related expenses. On Thursday, July 11, 2024, our mother, Lillian Roberts Agbo passed away. Though she had been living with chronic health issues for nearly two decades, her passing was sudden and unexpected.
Our mom Lillian was a testament to resilience. Born prematurely, she began defying the odds from her very first breath. As the only surviving twin, her strength was evident from the start. Life threw her curveballs - single motherhood, a coma in 2006, a near-fatal car accident in 2011, a failed kidney transplant in 2016, and an irregular heartbeat diagnosis in 2023. Still, she faced them all with unwavering strength.
She was a whirlwind of creativity and intelligence - a talented artist who was gifted beyond belief. Mom's creativity wasn't just confined to her beautiful fashion designs, graphic arts, or paintings - it permeated her entire life. Still, our mother’s most amazing talent was to inspire us to always have a positive outlook, to be boundlessly imaginative, and fearless in the face of adversity.
If not for that tiny fighter who defied expectations, if not for the woman who stared down death and kept pushing forward, weaving her spirit into the very fabric of our beings, we would not exist as the people we are today. We give thanks to God for watching over us and for providing us with such a loving and extraordinary mother.
Due to her health struggles, she wasn't able to work consistently, leaving us unprepared for the funeral and medical expenses she left behind. We want to honor our mother's life with a fitting tribute and are seeking assistance at this particular period. The funds raised will go towards covering funeral expenses, outstanding bills, and supporting our family during this difficult time.
