Nadia is a beautiful four year old girl who is the daughter of my cousin. Nadia has recently been diagnosed with a condition called Retts Syndrom, epilepsy (G40.9) and contracture articulae (M24.5)

Rett Syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that leads to severe impairments, affecting nearly every aspect of life, meaning that both her and her parents have a long journey ahead of them physically, emotianally and financially.

Nadia is nonverbal, which makes it difficult for her to express her needs . Nadia is also physically challenged and will need lots of clinical input to help her have any chance of functioning somewhat independently.

Unlike in Ireland where there is lots of support for children like Nadia and their families, this does not happen in Serbia where Nadia lives with her family.

I am reaching out to friends, colleagues and the general public for their kindness to help me relieve some of the financial pressure Nadia’s family will face to help achieve a better quality of life for her.

All donations will go directly to the family to help them receive invaluable professional input that is otherwise unavailable to them through their public Health Service in Serbia.
