Celebration of Michelle’s Life

My name is Lauren and am fundraising on behalf of my parents. My older sister Michelle passed away at 27 years old on May 31st, 2023 after battling years with Action Myoclonus Renal Failure syndrome. Her earliest symptoms started during her senior year of high school and she began getting multiple testings done. There was no diagnosis until in-depth genetic tests that were taken in 2019. There, my family found out that her condition would only continue to decline and that her life expectancy would not be long.

Michelle was born on April 20th, 1996. She was sassy, energetic, and loved to learn when she was young. She treated people with kindness and put others before herself always. Entering college years, she had dreams to be a teacher or a psychologist. It tore my family and I apart knowing she was fighting for her life at such a young age, but she did so with grace and remained hopeful. Her light is shining so bright in Heaven now.

I am raising money to take the load off of my parents for funeral expenses. My parents sacrificed so much for my sister, yet they only grew closer during the process. Thank you friends and family for your prayers and support during this difficult time and helping us celebrate Michelle’s life.
