Sassy's Story:
I have been fortunate to become acquainted with the most awesome breeder of Ragdoll kittens. This breeder, House of Steward Ragdoll Cats, has an abundance of love and compassion for her "kids" and has shared over the last few years remarkable videos and stories of her Raggies...from birth to placement in their furrever homes.
Now, onto Sweet Sassy. This sweet mommy was due to deliver her precious kittens within a few days, when suddenly, things turned very sad. She developed a very rare medical issue which cut off the blood supply to her babies and resulted in all six dying...and began a chain of medical issues for fur mom. She has lost her six babies, had to be spayed, has anemia, and has stopped eating. She is grieving her loss, as any mother (human or animal) would, as well as being in a hospital setting that must be confusing and scary. Her human family loves her deeply and are praying that all turns out for this sweet girl.
This is when I felt compelled to help. Although the focus right now is on Sweet Sassy and prayers for her recovery, reality is that this ordeal will not be cheap on the human family. They are a retired couple on a fixed income and DO NOT raise Ragdolls for the money...they do it out of passion and love.
The anticipated costs may most likely exceed this goal, but I know any little bit will help. If some of the numerous Facebook followers on her site feel compelled to help...even $5.00, I'm hoping some of the stress and worry might be reduced.
If nothing else, please pray for Sweet Sassy. She's a mommy in pain, both physically and emotionally. As a creature of God, it's the least we can do for her and her family/followers.
