Our dogs at Dawn & Dusk urgently need your help

Dogs like Dolly (pictured below and on our cover), urgently need your help. Dolly and her puppies are unlikely to have survived without the expert care we were able to give them here at Dawn & Dusk.

Dolly was living wild. She was pregnant, very traumatised and had a bullet in her knee. We gave her specialist care and a safe haven where she was able to have her puppies. She will never trust strangers but has a secure home with us for the rest of her life.

Dawn & Dusk provides compassionate end of life care for elderly and unwanted dogs like Dolly and new beginnings for abandoned puppies.

Established as a registered association in 2022 we currently have seven elderly dogs living out their twilight years in the comfort of our care. We have also nurtured four litters of unwanted and dumped puppies and helped to find them loving new homes.

We are moving to bigger premises in March, so that we can help even more dogs like Dolly and her friends. We will have better space to provide bespoke care for more precious oldies and puppies, in a beautiful, tranquil environment.

We have a big renovation job on our hands at the new premises, to make our buildings safe and comfortable, and the land dog-proof. This is why we are in desperate need of your help.

We need to raise a total of 20,000 euros to complete the fencing of our new fields, as well as screening for our new terrace and the conversion of an old stone barn into comfortable accommodation for the dogs.

While we don’t know how long a dog will be in our care; weeks, months or years, our aim is for every one of our older residents to enjoy their twilight years in the way that we would wish for our own companion dogs; one of comfort, security and trust. For our puppies we strive to give them the best possible start in life. We provide a secure and stable environment where they can truly thrive before going on to be placed in loving new homes.
