Our grandma, Anita Collins, is fighting for her independence and dignity, and we cannot do it without your help.

She has always been the heart of our family, the one who pours out love, wisdom, and comfort to everyone around her. But this past year has been incredibly hard. After a stroke and a recent blood transfusion, she now suffers from painful fainting spells (syncope). She is unable to stand or walk, which means she has been confined to her bed unless family members physically lift her into her wheelchair. This process frightens her, causes anxiety, and leaves her feeling helpless.

To make matters worse, Medicare has been inconsistent with her coverage and has cut off her physical therapy, citing what they consider a lack of progress. This decision has been devastating for her because therapy is the one thing that could help her regain strength, reduce her fainting episodes, and restore a sense of independence. Losing that support has left her feeling defeated.

We want to restore her dignity, comfort, and hope. To do that, we are raising funds for:

• A better wheelchair that fits her needs and allows her to be moved safely, without fear or pain.

• A full year of physical therapy with consistent, uninterrupted sessions so she can make real progress.

• A certified nursing assistant (CNA) to provide daily care, companionship, and reassurance.

These resources will give her the chance to leave her bed, participate in family life again, and feel peace instead of fear.

The estimated cost of her care and equipment is $25,000 to $90,000 for the year, depending on the level of daily support required. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward her wheelchair, therapy, and caregiving needs.
