My family lost our home on March 5th, 2016 due to a fire. My mother, father, sister, and myself lost our clothes, shoes, furniture, ID's, virtually everything. The men who had to board up the house told us to try and salvage any jewelry, family photos, and anything of sentimental value but to leave anything that's porous like plastics or textiles as they would have absorb the smoke and essentially be toxic.
I'm reaching out for help so we can get started building our lives back together. We'll use the money raised for: replacing clothing and shoes, medication that was destroyed, hygiene products, food, daily essentials for my father, a disabled United States Marine Corps veteran who requires assistance with basic daily routines, and temporary housing until we can find a permanent residence.
