Ka'ron Jackson, 17 years old, has been dancing his entire life. He attended Condor Elementary School, Dent Middle school and is in the arts magnet program at Richland Northeast High School where he will graduate in the top 5% of his class. Ka'ron is an aspiring contemporary dancer who has been accepted with tuition scholarship to Juilliard School in New York. Juillard has a 7% acceptance rate and is one of the most prestigious arts schools in the world. Juillard is world renowned for its diverse student body, master faculty and dance training. Attending Juilliard will help Ka'ron to fulfill his ultimate goal of becoming a professional dancer which you can hear more about here:
Attending Juillard costs $86,000 a year with room and board so we are reaching out to friends, family and supporters to help with this cost. Ka'ron received a tuition scholarship which we are so grateful for! The room and board costs add up to about $30,000 remaining which are outlined here: Juilliard Costs
While at his performing arts high school, Ka'ron has danced roles such as Hercules in The Legend of Hercules, Moses in The Egyptian Prince, and the title character in Tarzan and Simba in The Lion King. He has also performed classical repertoire from Talisman, Le Corsaire and Satenella as well as many contemporary works.
Ka'ron also trains at Mrs. Jenkins Dance Academy and is a member of the Elite Competition Team. Ka'ron has trained in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, musical theater and hip hop. Among many accolades, Ka'ron won Outstanding Dancer at NYCDA for his contemporary solo this season and will attend Nationals this summer!
Ka'ron is incredibly dedicated and focused and needs our help to make his dream of attending Juilliard a reality. Thank you so much for considering helping him.
