Katie recently went in for what was expected to be a routine medical procedure, but unexpected complications led to a lengthy hospital stay that lasted several weeks. She was discharged just yesterday, but she still has a long road to recovery ahead. She has a PICC line and will have home health IV antibiotics and wound changes for a couple more months.
