Hello, my name is Aimee and I am the owner of Zyla who is a Merle French bulldog 4 years old

Zyla sadly lost the use of her 2 back legs this morning, although she was limping on them for a few days she has now lost full feeling in her back legs which unfortunately means she cannot even go to the toilet on her own. The vets have diagnosed her with IVDD and advised she will need an MRI scan along with surgery. The MRI alone is around £3000 plus surgery on top of that.

Zyla is due for a scan tomorrow before her condition deteriorates even more, unfortunately we do not have the funds to cover all the cost for her needs, Zyla insurance doesn’t even cover half of this. Zyla is crate rested for now and is a lot of pain, she’s struggling to drink and eat, we have also been prescribed pain medication for her.

We have a 20 month old little girl and another baby girl due any time now so this is not ideal in the slightest and the stress of all this on top, if you know any of us our dogs mean the absolute world to us they are our babies and we would do anything for our dogs.

Zyla is the most sweetest, loving and strongest dog, she is the baby of the family and she also runs the house
