I am Peter Eriksson. I organize this fundraiser for my friend Fadel Al-Saifi in order to save his family. Here is his story:
My name is Fadel Al-Saifi. I am 31 years old and I live in Gaza.
Because of this Genocide I need help to evacuate from Gaza to save my family’s lives.
In order to evacuate we need an amount of money that we do not have.
To evacuate one child out of Gaza we need to pay around $5000 (50000kr)
To evacuate one adult out of Gaza we need to pay around $7000-$10,000 (70000kr-100000kr).
There are 48 people in my family. 10 of us wants to evacuate.
All my family members are amazing people, they all deserve life and safety, the children deserves to be children and grow up in an safe environment, and get to go to school.
There were great ambitions among young people to build a bright future, and the children were living a sweet and beautiful life,
but because there is hell and illness and the spread of hepatitis among children, we want to get out of Gaza as soon as possible. Help me in order to save 10 people.
We used to live in Gaza City. We had a house, a shelter, and all the necessities of life, and we lived in security and peace, but the Genocide came that changed everything. But we did not give up. We stayed in our homes for 41 days. We endured all kinds of aggression, bombing, and displacement from one place to another inside Gaza. One day we woke up... The sound of tanks at dawn. We have no other choice but to flee from Gaza and flee to the north. We sat in the
middle for nearly a month, and after a month, the Israeli army asked the people of the middle to move to Rafah. We lost everything, martyrs and wounded, and praise be to God.
Before this Genocide, I had a clothing store that I used to work in, and I loved sports. I studied physical education, but I would not be able to get a job. I had an ambition to travel and be creative in this field, but my hopes were dashed. My father had a job that we used to spend on the house from, and he helped build the house from In order to have a future for his children
My married sisters used to work as teachers in schools and they have young children. Every child had dreams, and many of the children had talents.
My father has 10 children and seven are married and leave behind children. My older brother has two sons, Saad, Anas (the boy in the picture) and Maryam, whose ages range from 1 and a half to 6 years. Also, my older sister is a teacher in a school and has 3 children. Her name is Maha Saad Al-Saifi, and my big brother is named Ahmed Saad Al-Saifi. As for my sister, Maryam Saad Al-Saifi, she is a nurse and her husband is a doctor. She does not have children. She had many operations to be able to, but they were not successful.
My third sister, her name is Samira Saad Al-Saifi, is married and she studied a master’s degree in social studies. She is a teacher because she is married to an accountant. She has 5 children, 4 daughters and a boy whose ages range from one and a half to 13 years. My fourth sister, her name is Nariman Saad Al-Saifi, studied English and is not married. Then my brother Ismail is married and has two children, but he does not work. And my younger sister is married to a lawyer. She is an accountant and has 3 children. My brother and I will not get married. My father and mother were trying to help us build the future, but the war came and destroyed everything.
My aunt’s mother and their husbands were martyred in the war and they have wounded and they live with us because no one can support them and they have a large number of people. Note that we have wounded and martyrs My mother, my sister and my brother were injured or martyred. My sister’s son and my nephew and a lot of the family were martyred.
I used to like to go out with my friends. Because there are no friends, I lost most of the people who were held captive by Israel, and the other was martyred, and I do not know any news about those who remained.
