Medical Bills Help Needed
Most of you know that my husband and I have been through a lot in life. Sometimes, it feels like you are hanging on by a thread. But, we know that we just need to keep focusing on Jesus.
Recent events have caused horrible circumstances recently for our finances. We have suffered 3 different health situations in 3 months. Due to a health insurance glitch, I was left off of health insurance during the time I had my health kidney situation. We had 2 more health situations where we have had ambulance bills, deductibles, out of pocket expenses, separate physician bills, multiple Cat scans, multiple ultrasounds, ongoing medical treatment that will be needed in the future for us as of right now. Currently, these situations have reduced me to being able to have the income that we need coming in for us; and not sure about the other 2 health situations at this time, we still are talking with doctors. You can message me privately about that if you would like as that situation will be ongoing in the future with medical guidance.. We are not the type to be going on spending sprees. We have furniture from 25 years ago. I am doing my non-profit work for Human Trafficking the 501c3 that I started; but with my health situation, I have been barely able to do any type of work lately which reduced our income drastically. I was able to make as much as I was at my previous job until our health situations.

Literally overnight due to 3 health situations in 3 months, we have acquired $10,000 in medical bills. The bills have already been reduced as I have already spoken with these billing departments. People shared with me to get assistance or only pay little here or there. I am in agreement with that. But, I would really like the help to get rid of some of these bills because we have ongoing bills in the future now from these health situations to get through like ongoing medical treatment & tests that insurance will only cover a portion of it. I am still having major kidney issues; and really concerned. We have been blessed by the church to help; but also need more help for these bills. We have been blessed with an overabundance of food; and restaurant gift cards. We had to max out 2 care credit accounts with no increase allowed with a visa from an emergency pet situation; and the new bed we absolutely had to get because our old one was from 2005; and the new one that we got in 2018. As I shared, we rarely buy new furniture.
Most of you already know that a business that we had several years ago caused us to have foreclosure, vehicle repossession, bankruptcy etc. Since then we have tried to rebuild our credit and our finances. We are not the type of people that does not want to save or have money for our bills. We have worked for 10 years to rebuild our credit. We have had some money in savings; but then had to use it because of unexpected life situations so we have had to reset back at zero a lot unfortunately. Both of us were working at the time multiple jobs because of COVID drained our savings. We were so blessed by friends and family who also helped us out during that time. We will be forever grateful for that. I didn't expect another situation like this to happen.
Hawaii/Maui/Waikki/Kaui Beach was supposed to be happening for our 25th anniversary in May of 2021 along with our other friends celebrating milestone anniversaries from our church wanting to do something; but I don't think none of us expected a world situation to happen. In 2020, we wanted to go to Sandals since I have tried every year to make a special trip for us. Since we couldn't do either of these I set up a few B & B's for the year. But one I already had to cancel; and have a credit on because of me going to the hospital the 1 time at the end of May. We have been blessed to go on trips like to Florida for our Anniversary, Tennessee for Anniversary/Human Trafficking Training Combination, Up North trips; and local hang out with family friends trips. Eventually we will take our dream trip; but not right now. Even when we had financial hardships, couldn't do anything, I created a room of encouraging phrases with hearts everywhere to be able to celebrate...Life's situations, trials & tribulations have not been very kind to us. But, we know that we live in a fallen world. We know that we have an enemy out there trying to divide up our families, friends; and our church families.
We keep persevering. We know that we want to run this race for Jesus! We want to keep fighting that fight!
We live in a fallen broken world. Sometimes in life, the enemy goes on attack. We can see the results of the enemy in our world today. We stay strong together, stay in the word ;and keep making disciples; and reaching others for Jesus. If you know of anyone who can help, please let us know.
