I am reaching out in hopes to save the home that I desperately want to keep for the sake of my son. I am currently at risk of eviction and urgently need to raise $3,500 to cover back rent and keep a roof over my head. This isn't the full amount I’m behind on, as I’m also dealing with other bills that have piled up during a difficult stretch — but this amount would stop the eviction and give me a real chance to breathe and get back on track. In addition, it will allow us to stay in this school district, close to the friends my son has made. It is not easy for him to keep friends, and this has been the best place for him so far. Our neighbors and their children have been so accepting and understanding when it comes to my son's behaviors (he has multiple mental health disorders) and this has been the only place we have lived where he has been able to make friends, go outside and play, etc. Not only that, but staying in this school district will ensure that he will still be able to receive the services he is currently receiving. Moving with kids is tough enough when you have to switch everything over, even tougher when you have services added in that are funded by the school they attend.

I’ve been doing everything I can to stay afloat. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, I’ve fallen behind to the point where I just can’t catch up on my own. I've had money put back so many times that I've had to dig into in order to pay another bill, I even took out a title loan on my vehicle. I am a doordash driver and depend on that vehicle for work, it was the last thing I wanted to do but you do what you can with what you have. It wasn't necessarily the best decision financially but I didn't really have a choice. I'm not asking for help lightly — this is my last option before things spiral even further.

Once I get through this emergency, I’m confident that I can maintain stability moving forward. I’ve already made changes to my budgeting and income, and this assistance would allow me to get back to zero so I can start fresh.
