Hope for Jose

Another scary and really real update:
He has been approved for the procedure and a date has been set. We will be there from 2/4/24-3/2/24. So the sh$& is getting real!! The financial portion will come he’ll or high water, it’s the medical I worry about. It’s called HSCT. Easy way to describe it is chemotherapy, take out immune system, filter it, put it back in “clean”. That’s a very easy way….its wayyyyyy more complex and that is what has me scared. We also don’t have a very big village, so we are putting our small family into super mode!! Please continue to pray for us, if you can donate, it’s so appreciated, I would love if you could share my GoFundMe. Thank you!

So the update goes as follows……Jose still has up days and way down days! For the most part of you know this man he would do anything for anyone. His heart is way bigger that it should be!!! I’m so close to saving for him! It took me a little over a year and the price raised by 10 k. I just want today to be his last worst day!! He wants to work! He hasn’t worked in almost 3 years!!! I just want to get him there and have the old Jose I know and adore!! Xoxo, CK

Hi…so many of us have had the privilege of working with Jose or knowing him on a more personal level. What you might not know is Jose was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). He spent the entire month of February in the hospital (this year). The short version of what MS is, it is a disease in which the immune system eats away at the protective covering of the nerves. Resulting in nerve damage that disrupts communication between the brain and body. It’s a very debilitating disease. Some days nothing at all works or cooperates with the rest of his body. Jose was able to rebuild a house from the ground up, and now hardly able to get out of bed on most days. We as a family are crushed by this diagnosis. We have researched the hell out of this disease!! And have come up with this…. There is a treatment that has been used in other countries, and has been very successful! The treatment is called HSCT, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant. What this treatment does, is to stop the immune system from causing damage to the myelin, so the proper electrical conduction is restored. Jose has helped so many of his friends, family, and strangers, it’s time to have his back!! With the funds raised they will go directly to the treatment. If you can’t donate, please, please share this, and if you can’t share, please say a prayer for Jose. We hope to see everyone on the recovery side of this journey we call life! Thanks so much!
