Support Michelle

Hello Friends,

Westside Community Church has set up this fundraiser to help our own Michelle Smith defray the cost of her cancer treatment.

Michelle is a dear friend, a loving wife to Todd, and a devoted mom to Julia and Nathan. She is a Servant Leader in the Church and part of our Worship Team.

Up until her recent medical retirement, she was the Instructional Coach at Canutillo High School. Always dynamic and positive, Michelle touched the lives of her peers and many of the students and parents. Michelle is also Mickey Mouse’s number 1 fan! Her backpack and attire prove it.

Several years ago, Michelle was diagnosed with cancer in her hip. Immediately after her diagnosis, she made radical changes in her life to fight the disease. She adopted a vegan lifestyle and learned all about juicing. However, after being cancer-free for some years, the cancer came back with a vengeance. It has ravaged her body and made it excruciating for her to walk, and often, even to move.

Michelle has begun aggressive treatment. Unfortunately, the family’s health insurance will not cover all the costs. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help ease the financial burden. She will be able to get the medical attention she needs and will give her family peace as the medical bills start piling up.
