Stand with Alma in Her Time of Need

Hello, my name is Alma Gaytan. I am reaching out for help during the most difficult time of my life. I have been battling severe slow transit constipation, debilitating abdominal distension, extreme weight loss, urinary issues, and other serious complications that have made daily life incredibly painful and unpredictable. Despite trying multiple treatments, my condition continues to worsen, and my doctors are now recommending further specialized testing — including a gastric emptying study and anal manometry — to better understand the severity of my digestive dysfunction.

Depending on the results, I may also need to undergo a major surgery called a colectomy if treatments do not work.

The medical expenses, specialist visits, procedures, and medications are overwhelming even with the help of insurance. I am currently unable to afford the ongoing and upcoming costs for these crucial tests, consultations, and potential surgery, which are necessary to give me a chance at recovery and a better quality of life.
