In November of 2018 my dad Jose was admitted to the hospital with a swollen leg. our concerned family waited anxiously as he underwent a series of blood tests and exams over the course of a week. At first the results were optimistic. The biopsy showed no irregularities and the swollen leg was attributed to a swollen lymph node. With surgery, rest and medication - Jose should have been on his way to a speedy recovery. However, the diagnosis soon changed.  A mass behind the pelvis was discovered by a CAT scan and further analysis revealed that Jose had stage 4 cancer. 

Although the news was very difficult to hear, Our family have been able to push forward with optimism for his health and are doing everything they can to support him. He has bravely decided to face and fight the disease. With the love of his friends and us his family he is striving to maintain a normal life. He continues to work and be there for the people who need him and is greatly respected on his business and by the members of his church. 

Currently, we are seeking the support of the community in helping cover the cost of:

Treatment & Transportation
-there is no insurance at this moment to undergo chemotherapy, therefore other options are being considered such as: IV ozone therapy (averaging about $1,800 a month) 

Medicine
-the average cost of the prescriptions is about $500 every 30 days in top of the therapy

Strict Diet
-to ensure Jose can stay healthy he has had to undergo a radical diet change that requires vitamins, supplements and organic food
