On August 10, Milwaukee had severe flash floods. We were severely affected by the floods. The Creek near by use flooded and we had 5ft of rushing waters in our yard. Water came rushing in from broken window Plus We had 4ft of sewage backuping up into our basement. Both my sons bedrooms were in basement. We lost everything from both the boys plus we are left with a big clean up. Everything from the furnace, HVAC, water heater, refrigerator, washer, and dryer is all gone. Displaced for a while, my autistic son is having a hard time adjusting to this change. He needs his safe place back sooner than later. Insurance, unfortunately, will not cover most of the damage due to not living in a flood zone ‍♀️ Mold is starting to grow on Walls and there are weeks of wait till help. I suffer from many immunocompromised diseases and I can’t be smelling these toxins. I have very little to no support outside my house. If you can’t help please share my story.
