In Memory of Juana Ruiz
Donation protected
We'd like to extend our deepest gratitude for all your prayers, support, love, and kindness during this difficult time. We're blessed to be able to hear of all the memories and stories that everyone is sharing, and it just goes to show how much of a force of nature, Juana truly was. She was a hard worker who provided for her family day in and day out. She was a beloved daughter, sister, a wonderful mother of four and Nana Juana to Aayla, Hope and Nathan. Her family was her devotion. She left a mark on everyone she met, her smile could light up a room and her laughter was truly contagious. We will truly miss that sound. What our world has lost, heaven has gained.
In February 2021, Juana had open heart surgery to replace an aortic valve. She overcame the surgery and recovered. In May 2021, she was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. She was determined to beat it and thought she had a long journey ahead of her. She was staying positive and had surrendered herself to God. Towards the end of May, she completed her 1st session of Chemo, which included placement of a Port-a-Cath to administer treatments. Within days, her immune system was compromised and was diagnosed with Sepsis Infection at the port site. The infection was aggressive and spread, attaching itself to her four major arteries and her heart stopped on June 16, 2021. We lost her within weeks of her diagnosis and commencement of treatment. She was taken too soon, and we weren't prepared.
I want to help raise money, to cover the costs of the funeral and memorial services for Juana’s kids, as this was unexpected. Please help them reach their goal by sharing or donating, any amount is a blessing. Donations will go directly to my niece, Jackie, and her siblings.
I want to thank all of you in advance, on behalf of the Ruiz Family, for taking the time to read, share, or donate.
