On 7/1, our dear friend, Katie Hanshaw, was headed to visit family in Illinois when she was involved in a multi-vehicle accident in St. Louis, MO. Katie suffered multiple injuries: broken left wrist, broken right femur, broken right ankle, and multiple lacerations across her body.

Katie has had a total of three surgeries and plans to go to rehabilitation soon. She has another surgery scheduled for her ankle in a few weeks.

Katie will have to move from KC to Illinois after she has had at least 12 weeks of rehabilitation. She has been working as a CNA at North Kansas City Hospital and will be out of work for the time being until she recovers.

If you know Katie, she’s a compassionate, selfless and independent woman. She’s goofy, one-of-a-kind, and such an amazing friend to many. She now needs us to support her in her time of need for a new car, medical expenses, housing, etc.
