Spine Tumor Surgery
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
I recently was diagnosed with a spine tumor on Valentines Day, 2/14/20. My neurologist gave us the MRI results which shows a cyst and tumor on my upper spine, close to my brain. Late last year- I started experiencing blurred vision, numbness on the left side of my body and fainting. The symptoms have gotten progressively worse and it's been incredibly unsettling for me to deal with.
I have to relocate out of LA because of the urgency in removing the tumor which means breaking my lease and moving back home so I am able to get the surgery and have my family take care of me for the following months. Due to this medical emergency, I'm unable to work and create art which is devastating for me.
This has been a very surreal and unexpected experience for me and my loved ones to process. I had goals this year I wanted to accomplish but because of this heartbreaking news, it's hard for me to see the light at the end the tunnel. I hate asking for help but at this time I would be extremely grateful for any kind of support. My family and I are in the process of working with my insurance right now which has been very stressful and we are completely in the dark with how much this will end up costing. The costs are unknown at this time because of this emergency situation. All of the donations will go towards relocating from LA to the Bay Area, insurance/medical bills, surgery, and physical therapy. Thank you so much for reading.
Sincerely,
Gabriella
