Dear Friends and Community,

We are reaching out on behalf of Alex, our beloved Senior Venue manager at the Salisbury Hotel in Stanmore, who is currently undergoing a challenging time.

At just 25 years old, Alex has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of tongue and throat cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes. Unfortunately, surgery has only done so much, and now he requires a comprehensive treatment plan which is not only intense but also overwhelmingly expensive.

For those who know Alex, he’s not just another Newington Greek teacher/bartender; he is a true Stanmorian. Whether it’s supporting the community, creating a welcoming space for locals at the Salisbury, or just being the kind of friend who always shows up when you need him, Alex gives his all to everyone around him. He’s the kind of person who’d rather take on extra shifts to pay for his treatment than ask for help. But this time, he needs us.

To show our love and support, we’re hosting a fundraiser on Sunday, December 8th, at the Salisbury Hotel. The event will include:

• Live music to keep spirits high.

• A special “Alex Burger” and beer combo deal, with proceeds going directly to charity.

This is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a chance for all of us to rally around someone who has given so much to us and a worldwide community.

Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Excess funds made on the 8th of December will also be donated to Alex's chosen charities.
