Unify UMD will host one big event per month, in order to raise money for multiple charities and philanthropic efforts worldwide. To "unify" the community,  Greek chapters from all councils (IFC, PHA, NPHC, & UGC), on-campus organizations, and members of the University of Maryland community have teamed up to work toward achieving one common goal: To make the world a better place for everyone.  

Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI), Alpha Epsilon Phi, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Sigma Theta, and Students Helping Honduras are all working together to make our first event a complete success. 

Proceeds from this event will be donated to: United Service Organization (USO), to support our troops; Students Helping Honduras, to help build schools in impoverished areas in Honduras; The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS foundation, to help fight this horrible disease; St. Jude's Childrens Reseach Hospital, to help treat and defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. We will also be donating to other organizations that have yet to be chosen. 

Any contribution to this is greatly appreciated and will truly make a difference in someone's life. We plan to change the world one step at a time, while having fun with the diverse groups and organizations that we get to work with. Not only are we changing the outside world, but we are also unifying our community under a common goal.
