My name is Erik, in 2008 I deployed to Afghanistan. Upon returning in 2009 I began to experience symptoms of depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and in 2011 was diagnosed with PTSD. Through some very dear friends of ours we have received Mia (our dog who is pictured) and would like to train her as a service dog. Alpha K9 in Sacramento has approved her for their service Dog program, but I need help raising funds for her to be trained. I hope to gain the freedoms I once had prior to my deployment, I hope to gain employment one day and be able do things with my family that I haven't been able to enjoy since my deployment.
