Mending Maddie

To the Gillott’s family, friends, and co-workers:

Delivering a meal to a friend or family member is the best gift when someone is sick or recovering from surgery. However, Maddison’s surgery will be in Sacramento, CA and a majority of her recovery will be in Sacramento as well. What does this mean for the Gillott family? Denise will have to relocate to Sacramento for approximately 3-4 weeks. Which means eating out every meal, paying for a hotel room, and driving to and from Carson City.

I have created this fundraising page asking for your help to make life a little easier for the Gillott family during this time.

Maddie was diagnosed with scoliosis approx. two years ago. She is seeking treatment from the Shiner’s Hospital in Sacramento, CA. Denise and Jason have been getting Maddie to doctor’s appointments every three months and the prognosis to correct the scoliosis is surgery. Maddie’s surgery is July 28, 2015. She is scheduled to be in surgery for 8-10 hours. After surgery, she is expected to recover in the hospital for 2 weeks. Depending on her recovery in the hospital, Maddie and Denise may have to spend an additional one to two weeks in Sacramento for post treatment. During this time, Denise will stay with Maddie in Sacramento. Jason will stay in Carson City with Morgan and Jayse and travel on weekends to visit Maddie and Denise.
