Katie and Tyler welcomed Edison William Roberg into their family on 1/27/24. He arrived 10 weeks early and was born 3lbs 8oz. Edison was rushed to Marshfield Children’s NICU in Marshfield WI. Where he’s getting the best care. Currently Edison is receiving oxygen through a nasal cannula and a feeding tube to assist him. Brain scans will be done this week along with other testing throughout the upcoming weeks. Edison is a fighter and day by day he’s been improving.

Mom, Katie had an emergency c-section and is recovering at Rice Lake Marshfield Hospital and will soon be able to see, touch and hold Edison for the first time in 72 hours. Dad, Tyler has been by Edison’s side since the day he was born in the Marshfield NICU.

They are in the early days of their journey ahead. Their daughter Leona (5.5 years old) and their Son Donavon (11 months old) are at home in Rice Lake WI. They have a lot of family and friends pitching in to help them through this time, allowing Tyler and Katie to spend as much time as they can with Edison.

A lot of driving back and forth from Marshfield WI to Rice Lake WI will be expected for the next 9 weeks, until their little man is strong enough to come home. Prayers and faith are guiding them through this challenging time. They ask for many thoughts and prayers from family, friends and the community. All funds will go towards hospital stays, hotels, and gas. Any unused funds will be donated to Ronald McDonald House. They will provide updates throughout Edison’s journey over the next several weeks.
