Medical Mission to Zanzibar

Hi! My name is Sarah Bassett and I am a nursing student at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland, Maine.

I have been invited to participate in a medical mission trip to Zanzibar, Africa (a small island off the coast of Tanzania) from March 8-18th. This is an incredible opportunity to learn as a student, and also to hone my practice as a nurse and humanitarian. 

On our mission we will be working in a medical clinic in Chuini Village where we will triage patients, provide medications, and educate patients on their illnesses and preventative measures. Our mission is to provide quality medical care to people who may not normally have access to the information, supplies, and treatments that they need.

I am asking for all the help I can get since this trip is entirely self-funded. The money raised through this GoFundMe will go towards travel costs for myself and supplies for the mission!
