Help Iggy Get Better
Donation protected
Hi there, my name is Amber. On Sunday afternoon I found Iggy unresponsive and unable to walk after taking his usual afternoon nap. This was a sudden crash after a morning outside being his active and wonderful self. I carried him down the stairs and my neighbour helped me get him quickly into the emergency care of my wonderful vet, who managed to stabilise him enough for travel to a specialist.
Over the last few days he's had countless tests, scans, and x-rays performed with no clear diagnosis or reason to what caused the rapid decline and the ongoing issues with his enlarged spleen, large and dark liver, white blood cells present in his bladder, and his unwell demeanor. His tests come back on Thursday (8th March) which will hopefully shed some light and give us a direction for treatment for my sweet boy. I will update as and when I receive news of these.
Any funds raised will help cover the current costs of investigation and emergency treatment, as well as support ongoing costs towards treatment and cure that will inevitably come. Unfortunately, after a period of difficulty, Iggy's insurance was not active so I am taking on the costs directly and reaching out to you wonderful folks to help bring my beautiful boy back to full health. Any donation towards improving Iggy's health is greatly appreciated and valued. He is the light of my life, heart of my family, and I very much want to see him returning to swimming in the river, cavorting around the mountains, and chasing the waves on the beach before cuddling up on the sofa in front of the fire.
Iggy has brought me great joy and love over the 9 years I have owned him. He has been my rock and constant source of love and snuggles through great times and difficult times. I wish he could be with me forever, but for now I will settle with beating whatever it is that is bringing him down, and with your help I believe we can.
