Support Melissa's Battle against Breast Cancer

My dear friend, Melissa Macias, was recently diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. It began in early August with a routine mammogram, and then another, an ultrasound, and finally a biopsy, which confirmed everyone's worst fear. She is working with the team at UT Southwestern, and will begin chemotherapy in the next few weeks, followed by surgery, and finally, radiation.

Melissa is a wife to Ricardo, mom of three ( Jules - 17, Ben - 15, and Vivi - 9), special education teacher, and active member of the Flower Mound community.

Funds raised will be used first and foremost to help cover the medical expenses not covered by insurance. Additionally, we hope to raise enough to help support their family, as her doctors have advised against her working in the classroom during chemo, due to her diminished immune system. Anything left over when all is said and done, will be donated to the Susan G Komen organization.
