Danielle is a vibrant, loving wife, mother, and teacher whose life was turned upside down by a devastating breast cancer diagnosis. Danielle began her fight with courage, undergoing a necessary double mastectomy to give her the best chance at a cancer-free future. The surgery itself was a massive undertaking, but complications arose shortly after, requiring extended recovery and additional medical attention. Just as she was beginning to focus on healing from that immense physical and emotional trauma, she received the most unwelcome news: The cancer was not entirely gone, and she needs to return to surgery to remove more cancerous tissue.
