On January 26th 2015, Corrina was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma (a rare muscle cancer).  She has already had rounds of chemotherapy and radiation to shrink the tumours. However, this rare form of cancer is resistant to these invasive therapies and difficult to treat.  Currently her cancer has spread into her lungs, spine and she has a tumour pressing on her spinal chord in her back.

Corrina's oncologist has suggested she look into alternative treatments immediately.  Her doctors have recently found a clinical trial in Boston, Massachusetts at the Dana-Farber/ Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, where there are leading experts in this type of cancer. Unfortunately we have come to the realization that this treatment is not covered by British Columbia Medical Services Plan therefore, these therapies are private and are at a huge additional cost. This trial does not cover costs for travel, accommodations or other alternative medicines and therapies.
