Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am Charlie’s Auntie. I have created this page for the family to ask for your prayers, encouragement, and any support you feel led to give as he prepares for the road ahead.

Meet Charlie

Son of Dan and Tanya Snider, Charlie is a vibrant, adventurous 16-year-old who brings energy, curiosity, and laughter wherever he goes. Whether he’s cracking jokes, trying something new, or keeping everyone smiling with his quick wit, Charlie has a way of lighting up every room. He lives life with joy and courage—and inspires others to do the same.

Recently, Charlie was diagnosed with a rare condition called central giant cell granuloma of the anterior mandible, affecting his lower jaw. Because of this, he is facing a very complex and extensive surgery.

This upcoming procedure will be long and intensive. It includes a tracheotomy and reconstruction of his jaw using a bone and skin graft from his leg, along with dental implants as his current teeth were affected by the growth of the granuloma. After surgery, Charlie will spend approximately two weeks in the hospital, with a long and challenging recovery ahead.

For a young man who is so active and full of life, this will be a difficult road—but we know Charlie’s strength, spirit, and sense of humor will carry him through.

Through all of this, Dan and Tanya are leaning on their faith and trusting in God’s plan for Charlie’s life. They believe that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1), and they are holding onto His promises for healing, comfort, and peace in the days ahead. We ask for your prayers—for steady hands for the surgeons, for Charlie’s body to heal, and for strength and comfort for him and his family.

We are reaching out for support to help ease the financial burden during this time. The total cost involved is $72,000. They are blessed to have a portion of this covered by a grant. After the grant and savings there will still be a significant balance. While Dan and Tanya would never ask for themselves, we, as family and friends are asking for them.
