Two days after I buried my father, my mom’s house caught on fire. She’s okay—thank God—but the damage to the downstairs is extensive, and the personal items inside weren’t insured. The Homeowners Association refuses to file an insurance claim on the structural damage, leaving every expense to her (including clean up and repairs)
I’m still trying to process the loss of my dad. Now, I’m trying to stay strong for my mom as she faces this next heartbreak. Emotionally, we’re shaken. Financially, we’re stretched. I wish I could take this burden off her completely, but I can’t do it alone.
If you’re able to help, even a little, it would mean the world to us. Every bit helps bring my mom closer to a sense of normalcy and safety again. Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for holding us up right now.
With love and gratitude,
Kendrick
