Support Pati's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
As many of you know, Pati was in a very scary accident last Wednesday. We are so grateful that she is alive, but we understand she will have a long road to recovery.
She and her husband, Nolan, were on Lime Scooters when she took a very bad fall to her face. She can't remember any of it and was knocked out, but someone stopped to call 911, and she was rushed to Swedish Hospital by ambulance. She received treatment throughout the night and is now working on her recovery at home (with Nurse Nolan) while attending all of her specialist visits - specialty dentists, oral surgeon/jaw specialist, and primary care physician.
She was diagnosed with three fractures in her upper and lower jaw, displaced teeth, deep facial and hand lacerations, and traumatic brain injury (which is what we are most worried about). The specialty dentists believe they can save her teeth by doing root canals on all of the affected teeth, which is great news. As for the brain injury, she is following doctor's orders by staying in a dark room without screens or head movement.
Many of you have asked how you can help, and I told you that I wasn't sure because she can't really eat or leave the house.
Well, now we can help!
Pati has good medical and dental insurance, but the out-of-pocket costs are stacking up quickly:
- Dental Bills - Emergency treatment + root canals - $6,723 (- $1,500 dental insurance benefit max)
- Ambulance Ride - Estimated around $2,000
- Overnight in the hospital with CT Scan and Trauma Dentists - $6,000 Out of Pocket medical max
If you can donate anything - big or small - Pati and Nolan would be forever grateful. We all love Pati so much and can't wait to see her back to her sweet self with the boys during the day and going on adventures with Nolan and Lele in the evening.
Please keep her in your thoughts as she works to recover and please donate if you can.
Thank you so much! XOXO
Emily
