HELP ELLEN WIN HER FIGHT AGAINST CANCER!

We are starting this fundraiser on behalf of our dear friend, the very talented photographer Ellen Berman. She is now fighting a reoccurrence of her original cancer diagnosed on May 20, 2019 - High-Grade Serous Endometrial Adenocarcinoma found in her right lung. This reoccurrence happens only in 10% of Women. Her 3 UCLA Medical Center Doctors are still developing Ellen’s Protocol Treatment.

A biopsy tissue sample was sent to one of the country’s top labs – Foundation Medicine, located outside of Boston, which offers comprehensive Genomic Profiling (LGP) & can find the mutations & biomarkers in her cancer DNA. Knowing this can help her doctors explore all possible treatment options & choose a more personalized treatment plan for her. This lab analysis is extremely expensive! Ellen has also been started on one oral medication with serious side effects. She had her 1st PET Scan done a couple of weeks ago. This will be followed by another scan in June for comparison.

A Medical Crisis is made worse when it becomes a Financial Crisis. Ellen will need substantial help to alleviate the financial burden & stress of her Medical costs, Genomic drugs, Transportation & Living expenses. This is a very challenging time for Ellen.
