A mother and her two children are seeking assistance after an early morning fire in Childersburg on Sunday that destroyed their home and killed several animals.

At 12:30 last night Lay Lake Fire was dispatched for a Residential Structure Fire with people and animals inside.

The family lost everything in the fire. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated!

Family has given Lay Lake Fire permission to gather clothing and donations in support of their recovery. Sizes are as follows:

Mother: Medium Shirt, Medium (6) Pants, Size 7 Shoe

Daughter Age 11: Size 12, Shoe Size 6

Son Age 8: Size 8-10 Clothes, Shoe Size 3.5

Donations can be dropped off at Lay Lake Fire Station on Heasletts Road.
