The Krogman - We Care Campaign
Donation protected
Justin and Christy Krogman are traveling a journey that no one, especially those of us who are parents, could ever possibly imagine. Their story began with joyous, yet shocking news; they were expecting triplets! Joy, concern and worry were common themes as they settled into the idea of being parents of 4 little ones under the age of 2! Justin and Christy also have a baby girl, Olivia who is 16 months. As you might know, Christy was entering a high risk pregnancy. Great progress was being made and monitored along the way. At approximately 24 weeks they learned the tragic news that one of the boys, Brooks Michael, had not survived. This created some uncertainty as to what impact that would have on the remaining two babies. As what happens in many ‘multiples’ pregnancies, Christy went into labor early, giving birth at 30 weeks on June 29. She gave birth to Avery Elaine at 3.5 lbs. and Hudson Howard at 3.1 lbs. Both babies were immediately treated and cared for in the NICU at the UI Children’s Hospital. Christy’s health has been very good and she is recovering nicely. Due to various complications, they lost Hudson on July 10. Baby Avery continues to make good progress and is still being treated and cared for in the NICU. Their loss is devastating, and as you might anticipate has created many current and upcoming expenses and bills that will need to be taken care of. As friends, family members, co-workers, we would like to provide some financial assistance to them as they continue to cope and deal with their journey of joy and sadness. Any donation is kindly accepted and very much appreciated.
