Help Raymond Davis Jr. Come Home to Heal

Raymond Davis Jr. is our brother, our son, our friend—and the heartbeat of our family. His voice, his gift for music, and his love for others have always brought joy to everyone around him. From his parents to his children and their mother, to all of us who love him, we are standing together on this long road to healing.

Nearly six months ago, what should have been a routine heart procedure turned into a nightmare. A mistake during the procedure caused complications that led to cardiac arrest—twice. Though emergency open-heart surgery saved his life, the time without oxygen left him with a severe brain injury. The prognosis was grim. We were told he might not recover, and facility after facility turned us away.

But we believed differently.

Raymond has shown us that he is still here. He has awake and sleep cycles, and he responds in small, powerful ways—especially to the sound of our mother’s voice. We’re still believing for a full miracle recovery.

With prayer, advocacy, and community support, we were able to get him into a specialized facility focused on Disorders of Consciousness—a place that gave us a glimpse of hope. He’s now back in Kansas, and our goal remains the same: to bring him home surrounded by love, support, and every tool he needs to heal.

Insurance continues to deny coverage for many of the things Raymond needs most. Your donation will help cover:

• Medical care and rehabilitation not covered by insurance

• Equipment and support services for long-term care

• Travel and caregiver expenses

• Modifications to help prepare for bringing him home
