I fight Crohn's disease, and Ulcerative Colitis. On August 8th I made a trip to the Emergency Room here at Sutter Roseville. I was not given the right treatment, due to this my flare worsened. I then returned on the 22nd of August, and stayed for 4 days; however, I still was not given the proper treatment. My flare worsened even further.
I returned to the ER on the 4th of September, and was finally given the proper treatment, but it was too late. On the 12th of September I returned to the ER in septic shock. A month of this flare had put me at 90 pounds, and my blood count to be zapped.
I was admitted on the 12th of September, and I am still here. We tried every hail marry treatment we could since then, short of removing the diseased portion of my colon. This included more CT and X rays than I can count, and multiple anti-biotics and high dose steroids. I still was unable to eat.
When this did not work, we explored sending me home on IV nutrition; however, this began destroying my body. I was swelling at every limb, my blood sugar would dip and rise unpredictably, I developed a DVT blood clot from the PICC line meant to deliver my nutrition, and the blood thinners for the clot caused my blood to drop by a pint a day.
We finally made the obvious decision, and removed the diseased portion of my colon. I am on a quick road to recovery, and they are happy with my progress; however after 2 months of being out of work, my savings account is zapped. I have also reached out to my close friends, and they have helped me as much as they can. I am SO GRATEFUL for my close friends, and families help.
I am embarrassed to have to ask, but I need further help. I have an amazing job that I am set to start when I am recovered from surgery, and I am waiting on Dr. to start SDI paperwork. I am also working with Toyota to defer payments. Until then I have no income, and some bills that have to be paid, as well as some living expenses to make up for.
500$ for my car payment
250$ for my mom's and mine phone bill
330$ for my storage that I have let go into lien status
200$ for my car insurance
300$ for day to day expenses (groceries, gas, medical supplies for my wound, etc)
I have set my goal a tad higher than what I need, so I won't need to ask for more. Again, I hate that it has gotten to a point that I need to ask for help with this, and strongly appreciate ANYTHING THAT ANYBODY CAN SPARE DURING MY SITUATION. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP.
