Ryan's Recovery Fund

Dear Friends and Family of Ryan,
My name is Christy and I became Ryan’s step-daughter when he married my mom Sandy almost 3 years ago. As you all know Ryan suffered a severe stroke on October 27th. that left his left side paralyzed. Since then, Ryan has been working hard each day at a rehab center. Hours of physical therapy and scrabble games with my mom are slowly helping him recover. We are thankful that his great sense of humor and kind spirit still shines despite these circumstances.
My mom has done a great job taking on the role of caretaker - she is a natural, I should know! Ryan will soon be coming home to continue working on his recovery. Unfortunately, the physical progress has been slow so Ryan is still relying on a wheel chair and needs a lot of assistance to move from place to place.
It has been hard to think of ways for me to help and support them from across the country and I know Ryan and Sandy have so many friends and family near and far that are wondering how they might be able to help too. I have started this GoFundMe page in hopes that we can raise money for Ryan's new needs. ALL funds raised will be used for home renovations and additional therapy (not covered by insurance).
- Bathroom remodel for handicapped access to shower
- remove carpet and install hard surface for wheel chair
- add stability bars around house for balance
- hospital bed and pull bar near bed
- Wider doorways
It would be such a blessing for Ryan to feel comfortable and confident while moving around the house. Thank you to all who are in Redding taking care of Ryan and my mom! I appreciate you all and my mom has expressed how helpful everyone has been.
Many Blessings to you all,
Christy "Attie" Kennelly
