Our son was diagnosed with Burkitt's Leukaemia aged 4 in 2021 and was treated at Birmingham Children’s Hospital on wards 18 & 19.
He is currently in his 4th year of remission.
We now fundraise every year to buy toys and equipment for children on the ward currently undergoing chemotherapy.
So far we have raised over £12k donated around 10,000 toys. Seeing the joy on the kids faces when we do a toy drop is amazing. One of they toy drops is pictured above.
This time we (I say we, I mean my husband and his friend Matt ) are doing a bike ride from John O’Groats to Lands End, they are starting on the 6th Sept 2025 and aiming to finish on the 18th Sept 2025. These guys are lorry drivers and by no means fit or healthy this will probably be the biggest challenge they will ever do.
Any donation you can give will massively help us raise awareness of this rare childhood cancer, the symptoms but also raise as much money as possible for our toy shop.
