Restaurant Dream Come True

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Neil Dukes. I have always had a dream of opening my own restaurant. When I was young at family gatherings, life changing events and social time, they always revolved around food.  I grew attached to the aromatic smells of the kitchen and the love and joy of providing a good meal.  Some of my fondest memories are hanging on to my parent’s apron strings as they prepared meals for the family and friends. The addictive smell of my Dad (Ervin) working the BBQ grill all day, and my mom (Carolyn) cooking mac & cheese, collard greens and much more in the kitchen and me as a kid running around begging for a small sample before all the food was ready, really propelled me to dreaming of opening my own restaurant.

Throughout life I have had the opportunity to cook for a multitude of people all around the country and the joy that overcomes me from that 30-45 seconds of silence and of satisfaction as a person receives their meal and prepares to takes their first bit has always been addictive.  It has driven me to pursue a Degree in Hospitality Management, and a Culinary Degree from Le Cordon Bleu.

As a family man, graduate of Kent Roosevelt Highschool, church and community activist, member of NAACP, Kent Parks and Recreations board,  and love for being a culinarian I have decided to open my own restaurant called Pit Stop Pub, a full service family restaurant, where the entire family can enjoy a great meal, at a reasonable price. Pit Stop Pub is the perfect neighborhood restaurant, where adults and children can always find their favorite dish and receive consistent quality and great service. I want Pit Stop Pub to be an inspiration to the community to continue to pursue their dreams and to say to them "YES YOU CAN".  Because I am just an entrepreneur with a dream, with your help and contribution it will become a reality.

Your contribution will allow me to build the equity to finance the construction of the restaurant, purchase the equipment needed and create jobs in the community. I will greatly appreciate all donations no matter how large or small because it takes billions of grains of sand to build a pyramid.  For those who are fortunate enough to make larger contributions ($100 or more) I will have a wall of honor where I will recognize those who will make this dream a reality.
