My birthday wish for mom

10/29/2020:

We were not able to get mom home. She is no longer in pain. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters and husband. She passed away 10/27/2020. While cancer may take many things, I can tell you it never took my mothers grace.

We are asking in leu of flowers that anyone wishing to donate here, please do so. Any donations received here will go to help cover remaining medical bills and funeral costs.

We are grateful to have known and been loved by mom. She is and will always be a true light. For the many lives that mom touched, including ours, please remember this, she is still with us all because love never dies.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

10/26/2020:

Mom has had a long hard fight with breast cancer for the past two years. One week ago today she woke unable to breath. She has been in the ICU on a ventilator since. 

If you know my mom, you know she has worked hard her entire life. This is the first year in 40 that she was not able to renew her RN license due to medical disability.

I'm not certain we will be able to get her home.  If we can, I don’t want her to worry about money. Even if the people who know her would donate $1.00, I know that if she does get to come home that it would make her feel supported. 

So it’s my birthday today. Here on Facebook they ask about many charities you would like to have people donate for on your birthday.  But I would rather ask for support for my mom.
