zürich moves! 2018

Don protégé
Website

In 2012, Marc Streit founded the zürich moves! festival for contemporary arts practice in performing arts with the great support of Tanzhaus Zürich and other local partners, who believed in the initiative.  In March 2018 it will be the 7th edition of the platform, which has gathered a community of contemporary dance and performance makers  locally and internationally.

Every year the festival program is done around a different topic and builds a different curatorial context. The artistic work is presented in various spaces and through multiple collaborations ranging from site-specific projects, the black box, the white cube and off-spaces.

zürich moves! 2018 examines how the current socio-political situation and the globally harsh political climate has influenced the performing arts. What means, strategies and forms of representation are used to depict this influence? We want to expolore new forms of community through performing arts. We want to  celbrate diversity and gain visibility of minorities.

zürich moves! doesn’t receive institutional funding and therefore each edition of the festival is produced from scratch.  In order to cover the organizational and production aspects of the format, we need your help in order to maintain the structure and assure the continuation of zürich moves! festival.

THANK YOU!
