UPDATE: Pancho is headed into an emergency surgery to remove what ever is stuck in his intestines. The immediate outpouring of love and support is something I will always be thankful for and will never forget. I couldn't get through this without you all. I'm keeping this fund open as a way to alleviate costs while I deal with the stress of unemployment and trying to graduate. I will post updates on Pancho's recovery as I receive them.
It is with complete disbelief and sadness that I am creating this GoFundMe. My name is Makenna Medrano, and for those of you who know me, know that Pancho is not only my dog but an extension of myself. I rescued him when he was just a tiny 5 week old pup and we have been together nearly everyday since. He turned 10 months old today, December 10th, and unfortunately is currently fighting for his life in the ICU at The Olympia Pet Emergency.

Pancho started to display signs of distress, out of the blue, on December 8th. He struggled to keep down food, water, and was lethargic and clearly in a world of pain. I brought him to The Olympia Pet Emergency and they immediately admitted him and got x-rays. They sent us home to monitor him, and his health slowly declined. He refused to eat, drank sparingly, only to reject it moments later. With growing concern, I brought him back to Pet Emergency to have him properly admitted. As of now, it is suspicious but not confirmed, that he has something lodged in his intestines and it is unable to pass. He is on IV catheters, medications, and needs multiple x-ray scans to assess if emergency surgery is necessary.
Never in a million years did I think something like this would happen. A feeling most people get when faced with such a difficult situation. Due to COVID, I am currently unemployed for the second time this year- thus why I am reaching out to receive help. So far, Pancho's medical bills are around $4,400.00 and payment plans are not an option. Below is a break down of Pancho's bills, that are only expected to increase. ANYTHING helps at this point. And thank you to anyone who can contribute or simply share our story.

I will never give up on my little guy and can't imagine life without him. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting Panch, he probably brightened your day one way or another. He truly is a special warrior pup.

Pancho's Bills:

All funds will go directly towards medical bills that have been paid and that are accrued.

Love,
Makenna and Pancho
