Zuhal's Fight Against Neck Cancer

Hello everyone. My name is Aliye Zuhal Turan. I am writing to ask for your help with my medical expenses due to the radiation-therapy treatment I need to fight against neck cancer. 


Last February, I noticed something on my neck which was very painful and I went to Englewood Hospital Emergency Room. They found a large mass which was surrounded with several smaller masses  on my neck. They referred me to an oncology department at Rutger University-Newark hospital. After days of staying in the hospital and going through additional testing, I was told that I have Stage 4 Neck Cancer and I had to have a surgery first and then Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy. While I set up the surgery date and was waiting for the surgery, only a few days before my surgery, I received a phone call from the hospital and found out that my surgery was cancelled due to the circumstances caused by Covid-19 pandemic. Because there were so many cases of Covid-19 in the hospital,  I was told that the surgery was risky. I was truly devastated.  Afterwards, my cousin Ferda Turgut began to search for the alternatives, and with her support I started Ozone Therapy. I have been receiving Ozone Therapy since May 5th. Thankfully, my tumor has been shrinking since then, but in order for tumor to shrink more, I need to receive at least 15 radiation treatment sessions immediately, so that it can be surgically removed. I don’t have any health insurance and none of the charities would cover the treatment, unfortunately.

Merhaba, Ben Aliye Zuhal Turan. 4. Derece Boyun Kanseri hastasiyim. Kanseri yenmek ve bu surecte almam gereken radyasyon terapisinin masraflarini karsilayabilmek icin sizin yardiminiza ihtiyacim var. 

Subat ayinda boynumdaki asiri bir agriyla beraber New Jersey de bulunan Englewood Hastanesi Acil servisine gittim. Burda boynumda etrafi bircok bezelerle sarilmis kocaman bir kitle buldular. Sonrasinda beni Rutgers University-Newark Hastanesine onkoloji bolumune sevk ettiler. Orda gunlerce kaldiktan ve yapilan bircok testin sonucunda, 4. derece Boyun Kanseri oldugum teshisi verildi. Oncelikle ameliyat olmam gerektigini ve sonrasinda da kemoterapi ve radyasyon terapi almam gerektigi soylenildi. Bana  ameliyat gunu verildi. Ama ne yazik ki ameliyat tarihinden sadece bir kac gun once hastaneden arayip Covid-19 pandemi sebebiyle ameliyat iptal edildigini ve olamayacagimi soylediler. Hastanede bulunan Covid-19 vakalari sebebiyle ameliyatin riskli oldugu soylenildi. Caresiz bir sekide evime dondum. Daha sonra kuzenim Ferda Turgut un destegiyle, sureci yavaslatmak adina Ozon tedavisine basladim. Mayis 5 de basladigim Ozon tedavisi mucizevi bir sekilde beni hizla iyilestiriyor. Boynumdaki tumor gittikce kuculdu. Su anki sonuclarima gore, ameliyat olmadan sadece radyasyon terapi ile tumorun yok olma ihtimali var. Ama maalesef saglik sigortam yok ve charity care tedavimi karsilamiyor.
