It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Lieutenant Thomas Zub. Tom passed away tragically this afternoon, July 14, 2022, surrounded by those he loved the most after a vicious fight with cancer.
Tom, also known as Taz or Zub by many, was a selfless man with a servant heart. To know Tom was to love him- he was a genuine friend to many and a trusted leader by his colleagues. In his free time, Tom dedicated many hours to his motorcycle club, Fourth Watch (the Raritan Valley Chapter) and grew so close to the membership that they were considered family. Tom was employed by the County of Union where he served as a Lieutenant in the Emergency Services and Hazardous Materials Unit. He was deeply respected and truly valued by all that had the opportunity to serve alongside of him.
Tom leaves behind the love of his life, Stephanie, who he just celebrated their second month of marriage with. In addition to Stephanie, Tom leaves behind his mother, Rosemarie, father, Buddy, and brother, Andrew.
There was nothing more in this world that Tom valued and loved more than his family. It is imperative that we come together as a community of first responders, brotherhood, and friends to lift the Zub Family up in prayer and support them unconditionally through this difficult time of mourning and loss. All proceeds will go directly to his wife, Stephanie, to ensure the high costs of services and daily living are taken care of and not stressed by the family.
We appreciate any donation and act of support to help this beautiful family get through their darkest times to date. Thank you.
