With a heavy heart, we are reaching out to ask for your prayers and support for a family very close to our organization. The Johnson Family has been with the Manteca Cowboys since its inception in 2003. Coach Paul Johnson has been Head Coach of our JV Football level, our Athletic Director, and frequently announces at our home games. His wife, LaTresa Johnson (aka Coach T, aka our spaghetti dinner Chef)has also coached with the Cowboys for several years on various cheer levels. Their children have all been a part of our organization through adulthood and Miss Layla Johnson, their youngest daughter, still assists with cheer coaching. To say the Cowboys would not be who we are today without the help if this family is an understatement.

 

Last night Paul & LaTresa were involved in a very serious motorcycle accident. Coach Paul has suffered 2 broken legs and Coach T suffered some very serious non life-threatening injuries. She has undergone a major surgery thus far and the doctors are working diligently to understand the full scope of her total body injuries and address them as they can. More than anything, she needs her sports family to join in prayer to see her through this. With their future circumstances unknown, The Johnsons have a very long road ahead of them. Medical traumas such as these bring extreme financial burdens into people’s lives and it can be very hard to bear. Please help us in making this time for them a bit more tolerable and as stress free as possible so they can focus on what matters, each other. Any help is appreciated and will go straight to Coach Paul. We are not a TEAM, we are FAMILY, and our Family needs our help. Thank you all!
